Welcome
**FROM THE PRESIDENT'S DESK!**

Welcome to our web site!
It is with great pleasure that I will preside over the Lefaivre Lions Club in 2009-10.
We have several projects that we will be repeating this year, such as our annual golf tournament, open bass tournament, ball tournament and blood donor clinics. These projects are always a great success. This year we are adding another activity for the second year in a row. There will be another Ice Fishing tournament in February. Once again this Christmas, we will be distributing gifts to the pre-school children as well as to the residents of the local retirement home here in Lefaivre.
At the end of this school year, we will once again be awarding bursaries to one student from the primary school, secondary school, and post secondary school to help finance further education. In the spring, the Lefaivre Lions Club will be purchasing, installing and maintaining beautiful flower arrangements all along the main street. We will also be sponsoring the annual Terry Fox Run. Monetary donations will also be directed towards the Hawkesbury General Hospital, "Tes Amis T'aiment", the Saint Thomas Parish, the Saint-Joseph elementary school, as well as the Lefaivre Library.
These are only a few examples of what the Lefaivre Lions Club gets involved in. The Club also, when possible, helps out several organizations, committees, and individuals who express a need. There are many requests for help, and the Club tries to answer to all requests within a reasonable time and to as many as possible.
I have an amazing team of individuals who are devoted to the well being and success of all our endeavors, and I thank them. Their willingness to serve makes the Lefaivre Lions Club very proud.
We always need help so if you would like to know more about the Lefaivre Lions Club and would like to participate, or become a member, feel free to contact any member of the Club for more information.
I personally invite you to visit our web site regularly to be aware of the dates of all our events and activities.
Yours in Lionism,
Ronald Lavoie
